Why do people with nothing vested in a relationship so quickly advise others to leave their friends/spouse?
most people are fairly careless in their advice-giving. careless advice very often boils down to projecting one’s own issues into the situations of others. In other words most people do not take their own advice, and therefore fixate on it because projecting it on others makes them feel as if they have transcended their own problems. Similarly, attempting to make people like one’s self or imagining others to be like one’s self provides false ego gratification which many people are addicted to.
